Ok good it worked.
Hmm well as you know I am still just a young kid and loves playing with VW's and someday hope to hack one up.
Currently I am saving for a project. In the picture below we cirrently own the yellow ghia and will hopefulyl own that other bug.If I get it to be mine it will defintaely get some volksrod inspired treatment!
And yes Dan..thats Springsteels old bug. ....damn it..wont let me show a picture when u edit it! ahh!

Wel its a balmy 45 degrees today and we decided to work on the car. My dad pulled the motor and swapped out transmissions and I would do some body work.
I took a wire wheel and sand paper and got rid of most of the rust bubbles. Then some gray primer did the trick to cover it up.
The motor came out and we found out some interesting things. First of all the guy blew 1st gear. Also one of the bolts came out of the clutch and got wadded up inside the bell housing. Woops. So we swapped in a 4.12 trans and the broken 3:88 is getin out aside for now.

Well it is now primer gray with black inserts in the hood flat black and also the decklid indent is black. Hoping to get it running soon!

Ok well we have taken a pretty much stock 1641 and pushed it to 15.66 in the 1/4 in the car.
Just put on a fiberglass hood and apron we got for free.

Alright well...
nothing much here.
Got rod of an old dunebuggy chassis that was in the yard and I am not sure where the body is. The chassis panhead was falling off it was so rotted. The Krylon Monster had been sold but is now back in our possession. I am really not sre what will happen to it. If I had a welder..i would cut the heater channel out and channel the damn thing and replace the floors.

Ok..long time no update. Just bought a bug that will be Krylon Monster 2...can't wait. Build faster on a tighter budget

Holy crap this has been a long time since I posted. A lot has happened. I got a new job, got another new job, bought a trailer, bought a 55 oval window drag car, tube chassis to put in it, working on a street car. Been very busy!!
