change number two thousand three....
Today, a friend was at the house, talking about the classic.
She's taking her '61 bug to the show, and camping all weekend.
The wife says, well why don't you just ride up with her, and leave the truck for me...
So bonus!!!
I'll be there all weekend long.
Looking forward to seeing ya'll again, and meeting a few new faces.

hehe...
The coolest thing about it is that it was her idea.
The only difference this year, she asked that I not drink.
I can live with that.:panic:

You will dehydrate without drinking! Tell her its in the best intrest of your health to drink as much as possible! That will work for sure!

WHAT? No drinking. It's the end ot the world as we know it!
Oh! Wait a minute. That means you will remember EVERYTHING and will be able to
hold it all against us.

hehe... and I have a pocket recorder to back up the evidence....
uh, I mean I won't be wearing a wire....
uh....
The plan is to camp down below the hill where the DAC chapter usually sets up. But near the river, so fishing can be played with for a bit. Dunno if I'll have any luck, but it'll be fun to kill some time.

Man I had a blast!
I looked around, saw one guy in a VR shirt, but I couldn't get him to stop by for a second.
I looked for EJ, - (eyounger) with the no mercy ambulance... no luck.
If anybody caught the guy behind the tan bug pulling the engine bay apart during the show... that was me.
An older lady lost her generator just north of lampassas, and went to bug acres on 190 to try and get it fixed.
Dale qouted her $600.00, and three days to do the job. WTF? I'm really dissapointed hearing that. So she drove the rest of the way to fredricksburg without one... just barely made it.
I told her to go grab one from a vendor, and she'd be fixed before she left that day.
Took me two hours to chase tools, get that damned bolt out of the back of the doghouse that goes into the oil cooler... swap out the genny, and get her back together.
Cost her $120. $60.00 for a remanned genny, and $50.00 she would not let me refuse... I didn't want to dammit. I was just pissed that somebody would try to take advantage of a fellow dubber like that.
So, that greasy, dirty, sweaty skinny guy was me.
If I met any of ya'll I enjoyed the hell out of it!

That was you?! The lady came to me to
get an announcement out about you. She
was so happy and wanted everyone in the
show know about how generous you were.
You made her weekend. She could not
remember your name and we were hoping
to stand you up and thank you for her.
Sorry we missed out.
As far as the VR shirts go, I was wearing
one on Saturday and saw no others.
BTW, I was the one handing out the
trophies as Jumpin' Joe called out the winners.

yessir...
I just didn't see that as right. It was the second generator that weekend... too easy.
Diane was a great lady, she drives all over texas in her car.
I told her if she's ever near ft hood, she's got my number... if she needs anything to just call.
She even found me a hot wheels VW I've been looking for forever!:panic:
great time, man... I wish I had had the chance to shake your hand brother. I love the no mercy square, I'd love to paint the logo on permanent!
next year man, next year!

Hey Eric we saw ya during the cruise line up in the big parking lot right before we left for the show. You looked real busy so we did not stop ya. I was in the really dark metallic dune buggy parked right beside ya. Hey do you have the winners by class? Just curiuos as we had to haul ass to get back so the kids could get some rest. Yea we helped out on some side of the road repairs on a Sat morning cruise. First had front brake drum and newly assembled car came apart, quickly fixed that, then the rear disc locked up, the pedal push rod was assembled to tightly, so with limited tools on the side of the road we pulled it and after almost rounding it off due to all the new paint build up, she broke loose, adjusted it and away we went. Clutch cable broke. One pertonix died. Swap over to points and away they went so all in all we had a great time. Lucky us we did not break.
Oh and we liked the legs!

The legs are usually hanging out back during shows.
I just thought I would try something different. The
legs will be back where they belong neext time.

Me too. Would have nice to put a face with the name.
The logo for NoMercy will hopefully be permanent in the
future. I have some pretty wild ideas about how I want it
tweaked to REALLY reflect the "NO MERCY" theme. That
will happen when it is time to paint. A lot of other stuff
needs to be done first.

I just join Volksrod, neat website.
I've had this car for over 17 years and it was built and painted well over 20 years ago.
This was my second year to attend the show, bit first year to show.
Car has not been out of the garage in 7 years, didn't take much to get it running.
Got 2nd in Early Type 1 Custom.

This is a really cool site... agreed.!
I saw your car at the classic, very sweet ride.
One thing that I would do though:
There's a tradition on this site that's gonna get you some grief...
Go here, and post an intro. (http://www.volksrods.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=9)
Tell us who you are, what you're into, what mods your cars have etc...
