The art thread got me thinking. apparently a few people on this site are quite handy with artistic implements. I realized that I have a airbrush that I do not know how to use. I never had the time or extra money to take the extra class. Now that I am headed to law school the outlook is even grimmer :crybaby: . BUT! maybe some of you gods of the wand that shoots paint  can post some beginner exercises, or even what products to run through my gun. I have a badger 15o and would appreciate any help at all. I have tried searching the forum without luck , and youtube just wants to show me how to paint clouds and crap not skulls snorting fire and spitting hand grenades.

Hey guys,
My 15 year old and I just got his extended beam in the 66 and we are getting ready to extend the steering shaft from the column to the box.
I have a couple of questions.
1. My local VW shop has the assembled u-joints with the correct spline count for the beetle shaft. Unfortunately, they only have one in stock and for some reason they can't get their supplier to get them more of them. I've been able to find them on e-bay and was getting ready to order one, when I found a complete shaft with both u-joints for a Super Beetle. It would save me a lot of trouble even if I had to lengthen or shorten it. My questions is, does it have the same spline count as the '66?
2. What did you guys use to take up the slop between the shaft and the column housing? Bearing, bushing...?

thanks,
Brent

So I got a killer deal on a set of Dellortos with linkage, intakes, filter bases, all that jazz...only to find out the intakes wouldn't fit because they're too short. They hit the sheet metal to the side of the motor over the heads.

I'm guessing these were either for another model or for someone who wasn't running with all the sheetmetal in place.

Any info on where to get taller ones? I have no clue if the Del 40/48 thing on Cip1 will work or not.
