Our mutts...

The smaller one has turned into quite the "daddy's girl". Not sure how that happened but I have to admit I'm a sucker for brown eyes... (I can say that since my wife has them too. ;-) )

EDIT - Hmm... that pic looks stretched somehow....

Back in the day our dog would act like a doll for my daughter. she would dress him up in doll clothes put him in a baby buggy. he would just lay on his back and be pushed around. He loved it.

Got an email from one of our horse rescue folks. She took her dog in for his shots and the nurse told her there was going to be a short wait as the vet was working on an emergency. She came back two more times to appologise for the ever longer wait and explained that they were having some trouble getting a cast on the broken leg of one of their critters. I got a picture of the troublesome little guy. You can see why there was a bit of a problem, but he is going to be fine. I really admire our vet.

That's exactly why we love our vet too...
Looks like something you'd see in there.

We just took one of our male guinea pigs (Bailey) to get fixed a few weeks ago so he could be paired up with one of our females (Zoey). He said if he got fussy down there after the operation, they'd have to put one of those "funnels of shame" around his head. We thought he was joking... :funny:

The lengths he went, in the 12+ years I had my Boxer "Jake" with 2 cancer operations, a snapped tendon, cysts, etc thoughout his life... truly showed his love and dedication to all animals coming through his door. You don't find too many vets like that... and when you do, ya definitely appreciate it.

Seeing someone fit a cast on that little fella is pretty amazing. :clapping:

The pup went in and got bob barkered last friday; I guess her time on the couch moping made her realize there was something on the back porch. Now all she does is sit there growling and barking at the door. http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/o...100_0715-1.jpg

On a side note she lost her first toof today; I'm sad because I haven't found it to keep it, but i'm sure if I wait 4 to 6 hours it will turn up

This is Rocky, kicking back on the back deck. My son brought him home from work so we fed him with an eye dropper and raised him till he was old enough to turn loose. He still comes up to the door and scratches till we let him in for pizza or chips. He takes it and heads back to his nest.

The retired neighbor lady thought he was attacking her when he tried to run up her leg to get on her sholder! :funny:
She is cool with him now.

This is Thomas or Moose. He was a stray who hung around our house. It took my wife over a year of feeding him to get close enough to touch him. Now he has taken over.

Re: The PET THREAD...

My wife was coming home from work tonight and accidentally ran over our 13 yr old dachshund in our driveway. My wife drives a Ford Expedition. She took him to the 24 hr animal hospital and they had to put him down. His back was broken and both hips, along with some internal damage. We bought him when he was 8 weeks old as a pet for my then 4 yr old son. He has been a good dog. My son is almost 17 now. My wife is so upset I do not know if she will be able to drive home.

I am tearing up as I type this. I am not an animal person per se, but he was part of our family.
