Bouncy rear end since lowering

I have lowered my back end as the picture below. I notched the spring plates and removed the bump stops. The ride is very bouncy and the rear end bangs a bit. I still have standard shocks on, is this the problem. If so can I fit some off another car? Thanks

The shocks maybe bottoming out. Measure the length of the shock installed. Then take it off and measure it’s compressed length.

Re: Bouncy rear end since lowering

The wider rear wheels may be increasing the leverage and load on the torsion bars. Stock shocks are too ‘light to dampen things properly. ‘Heavier duty shocks should help. On one of my past projects with a Corvair power train I used coil over shocks which helped. A lot of others on this site will likely have more experience.
She looks pretty cool with that wheel ‘n fender combo!

I agree with the other guys. You may need a bit shorter / heavier shock
