Looking for C. Eberhardt

I was wanting to contact C. Eberhardt about one of his drawings but I wasn't sure if he's still one here. Thanks in advance, Jim

I'm still here. Contact Bugdust thru pm or email thru here. He will probably still get it. Was here a month ago, so still active. He's on facebook too. But left my list years ago, I'm just too crazy for most people ;).

Yeah, Facebook is probably the easiest way to connect with him.

Re: Looking for C. Eberhardt

This is Yimbo, always liked your drawings but was especially interested in the black and white line drawing of the bug with individual front and rear fenders and open top with real tall rear tires. Was curious if you or anyone else has tried to build this, if not I would love to try (with your permission of course). Seems like a full length bug would look too long but not sure where to shorten it. Almost looks like if you put your thumbs under the door with your fingers on the roof and just gave it a little curve and then put more curve in the hood to shorten the front. Have you drawn any other views, just curious what you thought it would look like from the side.
Thanks,

I'm not sure which drawing you are talking about. If it is the full ragtop that extends through the back window, I started building it years ago but gave it away.

Re: Looking for C. Eberhardt

Yea that's the one I was talking about. Is the driver side rear corner view the only drawing you did? I have this need to want to make it shorter so that moving the front axle forward won't make it long and low. I like the stance in the drawing, raised and a little higher in the rear, the hood looks curved tighter so the front axle is closer to the door shortening the wheel base a little. Couldn't figure out how to shorten it to get what I see in my mind without getting the proportions off. Thanks for your time.
