Doc, newbie
Hey all, hope not to screw up the intro that bad. my name is Donavon Miles, from spokane WA, even my mother calls me Doc so lets start from there.
Been doing bugs for about 2 years only... so im pretty new. started when i got an ulgy crap silver bug that could barely crawl, got the volks for idiot book, made it work... then the rest was up to me.
I'm an old school punk that like many dont know what we are anymore.... trashy white guys or something, I like cars, computers, and pretty much anything else that eats cash thats also why I got married.
2010 won an award for that first bug, actualy 73 super beetle. later sold and started buying cheeper crappy bugs to learn alot more, hand me down 68 wolfie to restore, and a 73 bug to volksrod.
current is the 73 and came here to get the experts advice on differnt methods. cause you guys know what yer doing. the blue one got changed into the cop style, just a restore. The orange one is why im here, turned red and started a full floor rebuild amongst many other things.
If I screwed up, let me know... no current pics on this PC of myself, just imagine young dumb and slow.... thats me.

Re: Doc, newbie
Backround on the black 73 super beetle, won a trophy, ribbon, and kids love it, arrived as a silver rusted ball of crap, and i like that primer black with lots of chrome and green. Got it striped a bit, modded alittle, and had tons of fun in it, thus starting my addiction. had the 1600, sold it to a canadian kid. heres the end results for it.

Re: Doc, newbie
Skipping the restore of the blue bug to the cop car looking thing to the orange one i turned red. bought it with a rusted out floor, well you name it, it was damaged. started changeing stuff up, and I am choppin the top, getting the drop spindles, and some bigger rear tires. Today sence registerd i will be reading all the info you badass volksrods guys popped out with over your builds... also will be going coalition soon! just dumped my cash into metals... so im broke. All this in a 1 car garage, feel my pain.
