you to Tim , all you guys are great!
My car runs worse than a scalded dawg! As in , IT'LL HAUL ASS!!! And the t4 in the bus is hangin on it's own, only thing left is the relocation of the new shifter, fan shroud, muffler and it gets a test drive maybe by wednesday !
oh! found out what caused the 914 to lock up,,, I pulled the plugs, and the #2 plug was more than I could move, he tried, uh oh,, impact driver had to get it out... plug was shattered! ex valve had snapped, seat is not in view. Must've lodged in the piston on the first hit, cuz it gave no warning. This was the head that had been replaced. oh well, it's out, long time away future project.

I actually did some more work on the go-cart body. I finished painting it with Master Series to seal everything up the other day and started filling in the rough spots with bondo. There were a lot of rough spots on the left side because I got the first "test" body. I've seen Toms other go-cart bodies and they are MUCH nicer than mine.
Here's the pics so far.

Drove up to the lake to get my dad's 16' trailer. When I get there I find out that my brother-in-law has destroyed the wireing harness. Replace the whole thing. Dad says "can you look at the big Ford tractor while your here. Fix the battery cables, Big Ford runs good. While your at it the little tractor doesn't run too good, float is stuck. fix it too. Too late to drive back to Houston, stay the night. Dad's 80 and lives alone. I think he broke all this stuff to keep me around for some company. now I'm too tired to work onmy own stuff!

Got up around 5:30am.
Left for work at 6:45am
Stopped by the doughnut shop and picked up a dozen for the guys.
Worked half a day.
On the way home stopped by Boarders Caffe for a cup of joe and a hand full of the latest rod hot magz, looking for ideas.
Drove home.
Let the poodles out (1 toy Cocco n 1 miniture Pepper).
Changed into my grubbies.
Moved the north 40ty.
Went inside.
Took a shower.
Fixed myself a steak / corn on the cob / baked beans / glass o wine.
Popped in a movie "Bullet" with Steve McQueen.
Fell asleep.
Woke up.
Took a leak.
Let the dogs back out.
Sat down in my fav. recliner and finished reading the most fantastic book I've read in a long time Tommy Chong of the legendary comedy duo Cheech and Chong, "The I Chong" Meditations From The Joint. If you have not had a chance to read this book, it is an absolute must! I highly recommend it!

Started dinner as the wife will be home soon.

Thats about it for me!

Note: buy the book and read it you really won't be sorry.....

PEACE

This is what I've been doing the past two month every once and awhile when I have felt like it... Been doing it all around our pretty newly built house and garage..

It is some kind of paint with grains in it... The is more like a plaster...

I love how the english language differs from country to country... by "getting old "Im pretty sure he ment working on it must be getting long and tedious and wearing on your nerves, not that what you were posting was getting old.

I finally got to drive my turbo bug to work . I got the external oil cooler and fan installed and according to the Harley Davidson temperature dipstick it's running 40 degrees cooler . Without it, it was up around 250 degrees and now it's 210.
It may seem a little high but the dipstick isn't insulated like a Berg temp dipstick so it's measuring the temp of the surrounding metal as well as the oil.

I took the Roadster to Andy's picnic yesterday. It was the 40th for Andy Brizio, (Roys Dad). It was great. Andy signed my dash and sat in my car for everybody to take pictures. My car is one of 8 that Andy produced in the late 60's and early 70's. He said he would send me the movie that was made of his trip in 1969 when he and Medly took a 3000 mile trip in his V-rod. If he does, I will have it reproduced on a dvd.
The Roadster was a big hit as usual. There was a croud around it most of the day. Most of the people at that event are friends and past customers of Andy so most all of them knew about the cars history. I was supprised at how many people took pictures of the Volksrod plaque strapped to the headlite bar. It was a great day spent with a lot of legends in the Hot Rod industry.
