might be a thought...except you would probably lose some wheel clearance.

See ya,

How the hell do you "STRUT" a bug? I'm thinking that for link pin and ball-joint bugs, it must just replace the shock???

Hmmm...

I guess you could do the same thing as in the Red 9 Design coilover conversion... you take out the torsion leaves and replace with a bar. so the front suspension is free moving...

They list it as being for non-superbeetles, so I would guess that it goes in place of the shock. When I clicked on their link for detailed instruction (Or whatever it was called) It just showed the standard strut assembly. I think that I will send them an email requesting a photo or the actual instructions for the Non-SB parts.

I am actually thinking about them for my super! Like I said, I think I would lose some wheel clearance but would be pretty cool to have air stuts.

See ya,
Brett

i wonder how air shocks off a cruiser motorcycle would work? they are mostley air over hydraulic and some of them are self leveling. also you can lower struts by cutting them down and rethreading the tops. had a jap buddy who slammed a celica that way. he made an autocross car out of it and it would mortally fly.
btw, japanese car makers sell racing parts in japan that we never see over here. he was a factory race driver for toyota before coming to the states and he had some catalogs and tech manuals that you wouldn't believe. we gotta get some japs on this board, when they think outside the box they do it in six dimensions
(hey, nick is kind of a jap ain't he?)

I wish, I wanna go to Japan. I love Japanese culture from their cartoons to their pop cuclture stuff. Who else would make a game about sticking a toy finger up a virtual @ss (with mascots to promote the game) or a game about walking your dog

(click on the Japnese pizza link too
They sell beer in vending machines over there too!

well, i guess you'll be our "token" jap till we can find a real one :P
my youngest daughter has japanese animation mania.
my favorite jap memory is about my buddy who built the lowered celica. he came over to the house one nite and "midway" was on the late show. we stayed up drinking beer and watching the movie with him rooting for the japs and me rooting for the g.i.'s :D
he knew ALL the details of the battle. it seems they teach the hell out of ww2 over there. he knew all the officers and ships, casualties, troop disposition etc. for BOTH sides. all i knew about it was that charleton heston was in it
