Re: VW Bug made into giant spider outdoor art
I did custom delivery for a while, and zig-zaged all over the country. I've seen them several places. Some were done better than others.

Re: VW Bug made into giant spider outdoor art
I am thinking of building one for my front yard. My property has big bushes so everybody driving by would see it, but I would not be able to see it from my kitchen. (they give me the creeps)
Hebster I am with you. They give me the willies.
but I want one!

Re: VW Bug made into giant spider outdoor art
Ya.. Thats local. I'm In Reno.
I used to know where that bug was. But they recently moved it and I don't know were. I remember another one when I was young. It was behind a barn. I think it was the Baja style. But that barn and farm for that matter has been turned into a strip mall.

It's the Logo for an Italian Clothing Company that is also the MotoGP Sponsor. They also have cool scooter helmets. Click on the Logo for their site.

Re: VW Bug made into giant spider outdoor art
There's one outside the back gate of ramstien airbase in germany. Been there for years. If memory serves, it sets in the middle of a turn about... (traffic circle)

Re: VW Bug made into giant spider outdoor art
Yup, used to drive one of those, a '62 model I believe. Had a 2180, six speed and eight leg drive. Worked great in heavy traffic (kinda gave me a leg up on the other commuters, you see).
