That chopped one looks sick as hell, albeit a little rough. You'd probably have to chill out on the floor instead of actual seats, but it'd be totally worth it. Or you could even just build seats into the floor. Bet it would look awesome with some Mooneyes discs on it too.

It's unanimous - get that chop!

You hot rod old VWs - you're no stranger to hard work. It'll be more fun than any vanilla van.

depends on if you want to drive now or much later. chops cool but the white one looks like it can drive now and you can always chop that one later.

They both look like Dodge vans to me...

I like the chopped one, but, is the other Van ready to drive? Maybe you can afford both, use the drivetrain from the white one & finish off the Chopped van nicely?

Just a thought!

Holy crap, where'd you find those? I love the stance on that white van, but I've been looking for a 70's radical custom like that other one to restore!

ask phill I'm good at finding shit . Problem is vanners don't like to sell out side there group if they can help it . They will give a van to a brother vanner before selling it to a stranger , there a pretty tight group .

I like the white one myself. I had a 77 Dodge van w/ 318 when I was a teenager. I got it stuck in a mudhole out in the woods once. A guy with a Kubota 4x4 tractor couldn't budge it. My brother came out with his Toyota 4x4 and used his snatch rope. It would turn his truck 4-5' every time he snatched it but after about half a dozen times the van did come out.

I like the stance on the white one. Shortened rear? or mini-tubs? Looks like they were going for a Pro-street look.

get the white one, then chop it, less work over all. alls you gotta do is chop it and get some glass. ( that is if it has everything else)

You buy em both and transplant the chopped top to the white lowered van. It'd be easier than finishing the chopped one or actually doing the whole chop on the white one.

The chopped one has a padded vinyl top on it...I'm guessing the chop didn't turn out good enough for paint.

The pro-street one could be cool if the price was right. ....but its more of a late 80's thing instead of a 70's love machine thing.

While yes it is possible the chop is bad , how ever i have seen a few with the Vinyl top it was just another custom thing to do ..

check this one out ..

I saw that chopped one a while ago and actually kicked around the idea of getting it. I love Dodge vans. I have two right now-a 77 extended with a high camper roof and my daily drive '80 shorty with a Slant 6. I was gonna turn the highroof into an ice cream truck and sell it off, but I decided I don't have the time and I might sell it off cheap or even (god forbid) scrap it if I don't find a buyer. It'd be sad, too, since that was what I used to pick up my wife in when we were first dating. We camped out many times with it, and even camped out up at Litchfield quite a few times. The only Dodge van among a sea of VW campers.
