NM Newbie
Good day to all. My name is DJ. I hang out in Alamogordo, NM. Bought my 70' standard Beetle about 2 years ago. Great condition and very well maintained. It's my very reliable daily driver. I grew up around drag racing and street rodding, so project cars are in my blood.
I've been getting the itch to find a project VW and start something. Would love to get a hold of a push back Ragtop, but those seem scarce or people are very proud of them.
My plan (for sure) is to do a rat-rod style build. Keep things simple and on a small budget (at least in the beginning). Lots of ideas from bagging it or just keeping a nice mean rake/slant posture. Then I came across VolksRodders.com and I'm loving what I see. A very unique look that is way cool and one that everybody and their dog has.
I already have tons of questions as far as extending the front end and building it up to make it safe and road worthy, so I'll be here searching a lot.
