Default Having too much fun
Re:: What not to do!

http://youtu.be/XV_63YKdkA0

I took last week as vacation, went camping with family in Watkins Glen NY, but the real reason we ended up in Wakins Glen was my son, my brother in law and myself did a Track Day with the SCDA, we got 2.5 hours of track time and had a blast. I was the only one who had a big oh shit moment, which I figured I'd share. My brother in law brought his ZO6 Vette and had minor issues with the brakes, my son took his Audi S4. Alli in all a great time, still learning the liites of the notchback (or maybe my driving skills)

Looks like fun!
I'd love to run a road track someday!
Glad to see you out enjoying the ride!

SOOO jealous! Last time I got a few laps in was wayyyyy back in 94 on 'the Ring'. Going straight for a 1/4 mile is not for me...gotta have some hairpins at the minimum.
Lucky you!
Aloha

How was the Notch on the track overall? Were you happy with it?

Overall the car was a blast, started the day with over steer going into the corners and under steer out, but one of the instructors suggested changing the tire pressures and that helped a bunch. I got up to 105MPH on the front and back straights, my son's Audi S4 was touching 125mph in the same spots, 175hp vs 300+ hp. The brakes worked great, 5 sessions at 30 minutes each with no fade. I'm sure there is more that I can tweak to make it better, but I wanted to get as much track time as possible with out coming in to make changes so I only made the tire pressure changes between sessions. I'm really looking forward to doing another track day to keep dialing it in. Some more HP would be nice as well, but not in the budget this year.

You can never have too much fun. That is why we build these things to have fun and enjoy life while behind the wheel.
