chopped volksrod with wire wheels
Price: £7000 Location: lincolnshire.england
complete and finished volksrod with fresh mot and tax.
1972 chassis with a 10" baay area rods extender which has been modified so that it runs 2 1/2 " lower than stock, the beam is an adjustable unit and also runs dropped spindles so this gives you an idea of how low it is,brakes are renewed stock items which work suprisingly well considering the wheels, shocks are kyb units, steering is handled by a mk2 escort rack on custom mounts.rear end wise it has been lowered the usual way on the spring plates but also has avo coilover's to fine tune it,the gearbox has been raised 4" to get rid of that nasty negative camber.wheels are 1934 ford wire's with firestone deluxe champion crossply tyres these are bolted to wide 5 drums using custom made adapters.
the roof has been chopped 7" inches i didn't do this myself and am not sure who did it tbh but the roof line is excellent,it has suicide doors and has been tubbed to clear the gearbox and tyres, also i have addded beading around the whole car!the inside it has a custom dash board which flows into the doors!it has been painted gloss white on the outside and burgundy on the inside,it has been done brilliantly and there are a few dodgy spots but i was ever expecting it to be perfect,it is completly rust free though,it has all the solid windows in the car which are made from lexan but i haven't fitted the winder windows,
engine is a 1679 with twin kadron carbs,i built the top end up but the bottom end hasn't been touched so therefore i'm not sure what spec it is,it has also been full flowed, ther than that it it mainly cosmetic touches to it,it does have a slight leak which i think is a breathing issue but i'm working on fixing it,it go's quite well for a little motor.
interior wise it is very basic no carpets or headling,it has custom made replica bomber seats on custom mounts, they currently dont have any cushions on them but arent to bad to sit on,gauges are stewart warner wings in a finned alloy dash panel, steering is a 4 spoke sprint car steering wheel on a stainless column, tilton race pedals, has a moon style tank where the back seat should be.
if you want any other pics just ask.
the car is advertised elsewhere and i will consider deals on other cars aslng as they are yank or early ford etc
car is located in long sutton lincolnshire england
cheers dale
