Hi all!!!

Another Hot Rod loving Limey here

Been lurking on here for a while gathering inspiration (lots of it)
so thought i should sign up now i have a car to get stuck into.

So down to the interesting bit:

Heres my '67 beetle, i purchased it as seen in the photos and as you can see its faaaaar from stock!

the previous owner did stacks of work restoring the pan including all new lines, bushes etc and powdercoating the whole thing.

Chassis wise it has an adjustable, 8 inch narrowed beam and drop spindles up front and dropped at least a few splines on the rear.

Body wise it has some neat unusual features such as the gasser hood, semi-smoothed rain gutters, frenched rear lights and the porsche 356 grill in the decklid,

motor and trans wise it has a rebuilt stock 1300 and late model tranny with early shafts.

As you can see it's quite moon inspired hehe

Plans are:

obligatory beam extender kit (OJ customs 10")
Big ol' headlamps mounted loooow
Quite a hefty chop (-6to7 inches)
35' Ford wires on the front
vintage look tyres
lowback seats from my dads 39' vauxhall 10
plus numerous other details which il hopefully keep you guys up to date on!!!

Hey guys!

Soooooo its been a while but I have been getting up to some work on the car as well as driving it alot til the MOT ran out.

first off out came the grinder, well actually it never left the box as the front valance was held on with the worst welding i have ever seen on a car so a mere wiggle with a pair of pliers had it seperated lol!



By the time I was done i was left with this for the scrap man:



So the car now is looking more like the way it should, after a bit of filler chipping I uncovered a lil sketchy bit near the decklid stand off but nothing i cant fix.

As it stands now:







The front beam is now off and at my fabrication friend to be tidied up and have new adjusters fitted as well as my headlamp mounts hehe cant wait to get it back and fitted!!
