Default how does this work?
Re:: torque tool

ok guys, i have one of those torque dudes or torquemeister or whatever it's called. it works great on gland nuts but when i tried to use it on the wheel nut the gear just pops off the plate teeth.
full disclosure, i didn't get the long lug nuts that come with some of these and had to use long bolts. do you think the fact that i don't have the chamfer on the bolts is why it pops off? any other ideas? it's not something odd, just a '64 sedan. thanks in advance. gary

It could be from not having the correct bolts. If you could make a bushing to center the bolts, it would probably work on the axle nuts. I have had mine do the same it the bolts were not tight.

I am not certain of what you are having issue with...
Here is how mine worked on my axle nut when I redid my disks not that long ago.
