Default LED Speedometer Lighting

Had some LED's laying around from another project so Wanted to give my speedometer a lighting upgrade. I like when my gauges are nice and bright and the stock bulb just weren't cutting it.

I popped the outer ring and glass off and put an LED strip light around the outside edge for the face lighting. I was going to use individual diodes in the back in the stock location, but since led are directional it wasn't working as I'd hoped. So this was my solution. Got it nice and bright.

All they way around was a little too bright and the light on the bottom were a little much, so I want with just putting them in the top half. Worked out way better in the end.

I was able to gut the original bulb sockets and with a bit of silicone work my individual diodes into the original sockets. So now the warning lights are nice and bright as well.

Looks awesome!

I bought LED bulb and sockets for my 92 Blazer speedo. Can't figure out why they don't work.

It's going to be mounted in a 32' Ford headlight bucket.
