I was gone.....hopefully not forgotten. Typical BS .....workin on other people cars. When it pays $$$$ ...I can't pass it up. I ve got a US army Vietnam jeep coming my way for patchin and metal forming.
As far as my project goes . I scrapped the nose idea. Changed the plan a little. Here's a few photos of the progress .

I realized I started this dam thing in April 2007. Time flys when you're havin fun. One kid in college and one going this fall. Works been kicking my butt. Also picked up some side work. Haven't posted much do to my ability of using Apple products. I wish they were plain and simple. I have to break to get my left hand fixed. Had the same problem as the right ...... Finger locking closed. Not fun.
Started working on the hood frame. I'm making a reverse opening hood. I had to focus on mounting the radiator before starting on the body skin. A little german engineering was needed to make the radiator and electric fan removeable from the bottom. I did create a little body heat doing some metal cutting . .... Smelled like bacon.

Cookin my sweat shirt

Nice work Hope you get it finished soon

I like the front end, almost what I had in mind when I first started my V8 Bug aka the "BitchN Bug" which I started in 2007, then I decided to keep it looking like a stock Beetle, I haven't touched it since I got my VolksRod, hopefully I can get it back in the garage before winter gets here, we shall see

Keep up the fantastic work !!

The front end looks like a million bucks, twice that when she's skinned. Beautiful!

Why do you have to "put your two cents in,"
but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"?
Where's that extra penny going to?

Just remember saying I'm sorry and appologizing are the same thing.
Unless you are at a funeral.

Some real life changers in my life. So free time to play has been very limited. Both my parents were diagnosed with cancer last summer. I've been helping them out. To add ...my job was moved down to the big city so I now have a 13 hr commute/ work day.
I did make a little progress.
