Funny thing allready about my project is that there have been some purists in the Pre-A community allready whining about me hanging there collecting knowledge about the early pre-A's. Even getting my replica more periodically correct than their so called Concours restorations, and questioning if I try to push the limit and call mine a real Porsche....

I just replied that, no, it will not be a real Porsche ever. It will be better than a real porsche and I even will afford to use it without being afraid to be bankrupt if I scratch it....

Stepping on pristine, likely restored by other's, toes. People like that hate it when someone not only steps out of the box, but has the guts, drive and talent to improve it.

Best part is that I have pre-A owners there supporting my project very much too. And thanks to them I have managed to get the connections for hard to find detailled info etc..

I've found that probably 95% of the VW folks I've met are just pleased that you're into VWs.

Yes, I still have it.. But not much have happened... Well, made new slightly taller frontstruts with softer springrate. Now it actually have a suspension at front too.. Dropped it back on wheels yesterday and hopefully will get more done to it in a near future...
Also got the final wheels setup worked out well now..

Testfitted the Classic Mini wipermotor. Perfect match with pre-A wiperholes! I flipped one of the wipergearhouses so wipers will work opposite to eachother just as on real Pre-A's.

First doorskin prefitted.. Yes, every part must be fitted on this scratchbuilt... Not exactly a go to the shop and buy the bolt-on average kit...

Next time I'll glue the skin to the inner doorframe and hope that the door hinges are in correct position so the door turn free without scratching anywhere.....

Getting warmer outside and some dry weather so I decided to pull it out and dust off the fiberglass dust. Also installed one door for adjustment.

Final work I did on this about a month ago was making the upper doorpanels for the inside.

And November 6th I had it loaded on the trailer to leave towards Stockholm and drop it off and load the new project from there..

Thanks! The shiny 5,5x15 will go though. Gotva pair of 8,5x15 for the rear in the deal and about to trade two of the shiny 5,5's dor a pair of 6x15's to the front. 😉
