If we're trying to save bandwidth and all here, I, for one, don't mind links and since I'm on a dial-up, I love cropped photos. Get rid of all that background crap!!

Flat Blacker, Do you know what kinda wheels are they?
They are Hubless Wheels. The wheels are hollow, and you can stick your arm right through the wheels. this is because of a technology sbarro invented called orbital wheels...these wheels are connected by a metal arm and ball bearings to the car body...the wheel rotates with the tracks as the metal arm travels around the grooves in the wheel. hard to explain this, but thats how it works...

I made a thread about it.

Check it out.

here's a crap photoshop job I threw together really quickly to go along with the "suicide ride" sketch I showed you guys a few days ago. I'll try to do a better photoshop later. I need to work on a side view as well to help work out proportions and placement of the body, chassis, engine, etc...

In case you missed this waaaay back,

But good thing you considered the front forwall is further up. One thing to consider if you really do this, engine cooling tin. Looks great though. I like the spearhead hubcaps, they real or photoshopped?

Yeah, I'm not sure what we're going to do about the cooling tin yet. still a little early. I thought about trying to turn the fan shroud around backwards, so the intake for it faced the front of the car. We'll come up will someing thing wierd. I seem to be pretty good at that. Sand rails and dune buggys run cooling tin without being in a sealed engine compartment, so I don't think it will be to big of a deal.

As for the tires, wheels, hubcaps, and front axle, they all came from the "smokin' 36's" truck that has been at billetproof the last couple of years. sweet truck.

also, some good news. we found a whipped 66 bug for fifty bucks. My father found a whipped 66 bug for fifty bucks. he's going to try to pick it up soon. I would have prefered a 64 or earlier with the smaller windows and fatter pillars, but for $50 I'm not going to complain. and hey, if we fuck it up, we're only out fifty bucks. Let the good times roll.

That looks great, man. I thought about doing one like that as a roadster, but chopping the doors out to give it T-bucket-like proportions. I have another drawing somewhere with a no-door bug body with the roof chopped to look kinda lik ethe proportions of a Fiat Topolino Altered.

Need to find those an U/L them.

Here is one of my no-back ideas.
(not my square back just a picture to work with)
Before
http://photo.starblvd.net/~ovaljed2/1-1-5....pg?i=1068272066

After
Here it is with no roof / chopped windshield / lowered / and a lead sled inspired type front bumper.

Old photoshops I did, I do photoshops more for real-life idea design practices rather then realism photoshops (flawless paint, etc)

Pitchfork Lid

Sectioned and shortened Ghia:
example 1 John Kelly's
example 2

Squareback hearse
The Bugsetta BMW Issetta-ish
Mercedes/Beetle prototype rod
Audi TT Ghia front view
Audi TT Ghia rear view

Various custom bug door concepts
Yes this was my original plan for the runtrod, many changes from then to the current plans
