Thanks Jeff! I was just thinking about if I should try to sell prints of my photos.

I think your prints would sell very well.

As for finding your photo I did a google image search for "1953 Argus C3" to see the camera, 2 images from HAMB and one from Flikr showed up.

I like this thread, glad I found it
So years ago I was dangerous if there was a camera around & it had film in it, now with camera's in our phones it doesn't matter, I'mstill dangerous when it comes to taking Kandi shots

I do have a purty nice digital camera, it's a Nikon Cool pixels L830, I very seldom carry it with me, plus it goes thru batteries like you wouldn't believe, I need to get some rechargeable batteries

I have a facination with the moon, I've only gotten a few good pics over the past few years of 2 full moons, 1 was the recent super moon & the last was a crescent moon, every time there is one I can't get a good pic because of the clouds, that is until a few weeks ago when I walked outside & happen to get a glimpse of one barely above the roof tops of the houses up at the end of our street, it was behind some trees, but luckily they had no leaves

Ok enough talk, here's the best 3 pics oldest to newest

Think this was the Super Moon

Here's the crescent moon

I'll hafta go thru my pics & find some of the sunsets & a few sunrises taken with my phone

OK the way it was explained to me. Cameras need say 600ma of power to run them. A normal battery has 700. So you only get a few shots before the battery get down to 600. So you need batteries with a large capacity. (I run 2400s) I can now take 120 shots on one set of batteries. And yep, rechargeables are money savers after a few uses. I'm no expert so perhaps someone else can correct me if I got anything wrong.

Thank ya for the tip on batteries, I guess I'll hafta start paying attention when I buy them

Lately I've been buying them at the "Dollar Tree" store, you can get packs of 4 or 8 AA & AAA batteries for a dollar, I know they don't last as long a Duracell batteries, but an 8 pack for a dollar isn't bad
I can get an average of 25 to 30 pics from 4 AA's along with a few 2 to 3 minute videos from Dollar Tree batteries
It's when I let it sit for a month or two unused that I have trouble, I can only get 3 or 4 pics before they go dead

I need to get them rechargeables & one a them AC adapters to charge them, I think you can even use that with no batteries at all, guess I'll hafta get out the instruction manual

Here's a sunset I got Friday or Saturday using my phone's camera while standing right outside my garage

AWW ain't that cute !!! Talking about Mia

I can't get Bubbaz to sit in a position like that to get a selfish with her, she's camera shy

She always lays on my belly, as well as my lower legs where I have all the muscle & nerve pain from neropathy, it can't be at all comfortable for her, again she's camera shy, we can't get a pic of her because she sees the camera/phone & runs

I read somewhere that animals have a sense of where illness & pain are & she's try to comfort those spots, but then again animals always lay on your lap, but when she's on my lower legs it can't be at all comfortable for her, every time we try to get a pic, as soon as she sees the camera she hurries up & runs off, again she's camera shy , we hafta sneak pics without her knowing

Nothing phases Mia. She had such a hard life before we got her that anything we do, even taking her to the vet, is pretty casual. She wakes me up in the morning, have some wrestle time, then her breakfast and now she's watching the snow come down. Got 3" of the white crap last night!

I'll say. My dad was a professional photographer from his time with the Army Air Corps prior to and throughout WWII, to when he retired from Lockheed in '75. I have a number the slide carousels you mention in an ancient wooden chest in our basement. Your project is giving me an idea.

That's purty cool, far beyond my capabilities to make
I've never used those slides, always just got pictures printed on paper

My parents go to (went to) Sanibel Island every year around the first 2 weeks of June, in 03 we, my family decided to go join them for a week, they said just get a way down & we could stay with them (was my 1st time on a plane) we brought down my wife's really good Cannon 35 mm camera which had all kinds of different lenses, I brought down a cheap 110 pocket camera & 2 digital cameras, we dropped everything off at the Kroger Photo shop, when we got them all back the 110 pics all turned out much better than any of the pics from the 35 mm camera

I've seen similar results from other people's pictures, ya think it's because the good camera wasn't set correctly ?
That my only thought, but my wife knows what she's doing with her good camera, it was her dad's, he taught her how to use it, me, I just focused & pushed the button, I don't know much about shutter speed settings except to get certain results between day time & night time shots, didn't bring a tripod to get any fancy shots like that, but like I said, I don't know a whole lot, I just like taking pics of people when they least expect it

So on June 9th they called it a "Strawberry Moon" I let my granddaughter take this picture

June 9th was the day I lost my dad in 2003, hard to believe it's been 14 years

The night before we found out Emily's Superman hat glowes in the dark, I thought it was purty cool, so she got a pic of it as well

We also noticed a week or so ago that we had a birds nest under our carport about 18 inches to the right side of our door, one day I was walking towards the door when momma bird was bringing food to her younguns & she dang near flew right into my forehead, her wing did hit me in the side of my head, I have a couple pics I took with my phone

A close up

Just yesterday Emily seen all but one fly away, hopefully they all survived Bubbaz, whenever she does get an animal she leaves it lay right outside our door
