Default Son's '73 ghia - a distraction

So, I know this is nowhere near the level of builds I see on this site (so many talented builders) but this is my son's car. We started it as a father son build, but he has no interest in cars. He helps me work on it a little bit, but I think he is just more interested in having a car and not the build process. That is OK with me, I have encouraged him (and my three daughters) to find something in life that they are passionate about and go do it, and do it well. So, it is ending up as my gift to him, since everyone should have a VW to cruise around in. He picked his colors and fabric etc for the final look of his car, and now I am working on trying to finish it up so he can have his freedom (and to get it out of the garage so I can work on my projects). I may not be good at first at posting pics and updates, but I am an old dog, and slow to new tricks. So here is the first photo, how we found her, sitting next to an old barn near Lake Havasu in AZ.
