Re: 74 Super with Longitudinal Acura 3.2 V6
very cool idea!
I held onto a pair of stock fenders for like 6 years but finally dumped em because I never got around to my idea.. I was going to try and cut them about an inch away from where the mount, and add in 3 inches of sheet metal there.
I'm a total packrat.. I bought a Millermatic 180 welder in 2008, but have yet to ever power it on due to lack of 220 everywhere I've lived.. I held onto those fenders for 5 or 6 years without ever doing anything with them.. and I currently have been dragging about a third of the parts needed for a 2276cc behind me with every move since about 2008.. SOMEDAY i'll have time/money to work on shit.. lol

check out Action Glass VW Parts, He makes rear fenders up to 4.5 inches wider. I bought his W deck lid and oval dash over, The workmanship is top notch.

that's who we were talking about.. I prefaced my review with the fact that I bought my fenders in 2007, and i'm sure a LOT has changed since then, but that same guy went under like 3 or 4 different company names in like a 3 year period because of the complaints.. When he had too many BBB complaints under one name, he'd close the doors for a week, rename it and reopen..
MY fenders are decent, but not great. Since I think he's the only one making wider fiberglass fenders, he's kinda got the market cornered. I'd buy em again if I was getting new ones, I just personally wouldn't expect much so I wouldn't be disappointed..

Re: 74 Super with Longitudinal Acura 3.2 V6
I think it's got a lot of potential to add a very cool "custom" look to an already wildly custom car!
Are you going to do one solid color for the entire exterior? If not, I think this could be a good spot for some accent coloring.. Like have the body and fenders the primary color, and the mesh area's the secondary color..

Re: 74 Super with Longitudinal Acura 3.2 V6
I was wondering about the use of the mesh in your fender extensions, when it hit me. They help dissipate the smoke when you light up the tires during a long ‘burn-out.🤔😲👍👍
