Those look way too easy just to fabricate yourself. Studs are a nice touch too, although they arn't very strait in the middle.

I was thinking the same thing about making it would be seriously easier and cheaper....

Thinking the same thing about country buggy's. be cheaper to buy a large Brake and make your own instead of restoring one...

I have never found a cost for the kit. It would be a pretty straight forward scratch build, though.

some really nice touches on this car... I don;t care for everything on it. but the owner really hit on some nice touches.. just a bit too much "show" for me..

steering wheel.. awesome!
chop, and stance
VW wheel logos
forward exhaust

The front wheels look out of proportion. IMO

I remember that car from a few years back. pretty sure it was oxide red but still tiki themed at one time. I remember it being in Kentucky.

No, I can not seem to get the ad to go through. Is there a special trick? I followed all the steps, with pics, without pics and it keeps getting deleted for some reason. Here is a pic of it, and I do have it in the classifieds here. I can not explain why but it is making me crazy

Thanks Jeff, I think it is a fair price for a great little bug, minimal work needed. I am really taking a loss on it but need to sell it. It is listed here for 100 dollars less than the Samba ad!!

That has been for sale for a long time by a couple different people. I like the idea if not the execution.

I also like the look of the bug. Those tires & wheels on a slammed air-ride bug that looked like that...oh yeah.

I also like the rear lift gate. think regular bug with a type III engine with the metal work done right and a flat floor. I would like a 2-seater bug hatchback. Maybe just some fold-down jump seats...no, just storage under a flat floor.
