Just a real quick intro... Im a 22 year old male in Fresno (the NoNO) CA. I am the proud owner of a multi colored (flat black, primer and original blue) 71 super (was my dads I got it as a "gift")
Quickly fell in love with the fixer upper. Been through four other cars and this is the only one Ive kept.

Working on getting wider fiberglass fenders for it soon. Just got some rivieras for it (looking for some solid Centerlines) dropping the front but not the back, looking for a raked look. Currently has all trim and turnsignals shaved, cal look rubber and tear drop tail lightsno decklid and no rear apron.

newer headliner, a little sound system (building custom box and no back seat)

Engine: 1600 with an alternator, 009 dist. petronix, ratio rockers, headers with a hideaway, Currently stock carb but I own a set of dual weber 44s with hex linkage and everything ready to go but figure its to big for the engine and prolly going to go with something les aggresive till I can build a motor (any suggestions) plan on tinting and a flat black paint job soon and the coolest part about my baby is prolly that I can shoot flames at people (especially when I had the stinger, rice burners had no idea what to do)

Wow a little longer than I planned but hope its just enough for you guys to give me shit about and send me on my way to earning my red wings ..... wait ignore the red part just earning my wings

OK so my interior is coming together.. almost finished building a box for my 12 inch subs and my 6x9s (they take up my back seat) grey headliner grey seats grey hammermill paint to everything not covered including the dash (no more dash pad)

So thats all coming together but my exterior sux I think that Im going to get the wide fenders that I have available to me and now I think I am going to just hammermill paint the exterior of the bug.... Any thoughts

Anyone want to talk me out of it and tell me its a bad idea? I found two encouraging people so Im getting close to committing...

Any ideas how to make it actually work if I do it... Should I clear coat the finished product?
