Hey Ya'll...
My name is Shane Blakeley & I live in Boring, Oregon. I'm 18 and just graduated from Sandy High School last month. Lived in the same house for 16 years and work as a Laborer for a local plumbing outfit and I have hopes for becoming an apprentice with eventually becoming a Journeyman.
My rigs include three at the moment...
A 1971 Chevy SNB C10 pickup. Shes got a 400ci small block and the annoying granny-low 4-speed transmission (TH400 REAL SOON THOUGH). It's bright yellow...and absolutely beautiful...I call her, "My Beefy piece of Sh*t."
A 1965 International 3/4 4x4. Just a wheeler w/o an an engine(it's in the Chevy). My first rig...my baby...I'm selling her for a 1988 S10 w/ a 406 small block in it. No pics of the Nat...because it's just ugly.
And a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4. A 4.0L SOHC w/ 207hp stock...but now has about 230hp (intake & exhaust). Gots some goodies on it...Headache rack, turnsignal mirrors, bunch of light mods, barbed wire pinstripes, some stickers...it's all good.
Now, I am a big interest in VW since I was like 10 hanging out with my cousin & uncle and they had VWs. My little brother has a 1927 Bugatti kit car on a '68 VW chassis. Since having that...he want to sell it and pick-up a non-super beetle and make it into a VOLKSROD!! He's the one that got me going on this AWESOME site.
I've wanted for a long time to create an old school VeeDub....non-super beetle, flat black, some bigger inch rallys pained red, and slam it w/ bags & powered my a 2000+ cc motor. It'll be SICK!!! Also would like to do a StreetRob like on vwstreetrod.com.
I know this is kind of a long post...but hey....I'm sayin' hey!
