well...the car is in the shop getting rid of the cancer...
body is off the chassis, the body guy is the coolest and nicest I have met in my area...
He is a custom/hot rod shop and does awesome work, lets me come in and work on the car with him to save money, etc.
the project plans are shifting and looks like I might be headed towards a full-time roadster with custom cover over a portion of the rear that then swoops down into the interior between rear bucket seats...its a long way off but I did a few sketches and he is excited and wants to build it... also going to chop the windshield and lean it back some...
hidden hinges, smooted rain gutter, smooth running boards with led turn signals built in, cutom tailights, maybe headlights off a modern car (don't wwant to give that a way just yet), old blade bumpers mounted closer to the body, smoothed dash..and more...
the car should be done this first stage (rust repair) in a week or so, then back to me to get some more parts etc..then back to the shop in a few months to work on the custom body work and hopefully paint...
trying to get as much done as possible before the baby arrives in September.
See ya,
Brett
