Ok.. regardless of public demand.. here's my intro. ;-)

I rolled off the production line in May 1972, somewhere on the west coast of Finland.
(that would be way up in the northern parts of Europe, for those of you who didn't do so well in geographics at school. I.e. Americans. ) I did not have a vote when location was being decided on, so don't blame me.

I'll try to be short here (I'm 6ft tall in real life) so here goes:

I love aircooled VW's, and I can appreciate the vintage preservationists and their achievements in mothballing these cars just the way they came from the factory.
But for my own use.. I never seem to be quite satisfied with them as-is. I have 3 at the moment, a 66 project split window bus (future will show what comes of it) a 67 original looking bug that only has like a mild street engine and some minor mods, disc brakes in the front, 185 and 195 tires etc.. it was too sweet to hack up, but I had my mind filled with ideas and scetches of insane, and outrageous mods to the exterior and interior. Sawzall/Mig fever. You all prolly know what it is.

Anyhoo, I bought a real piece of junk convertible conversion beetle project car, and kinda went at it. haven't done anything too outrageous yet, we have very strict laws that seem to be aimed at killing creativity. But I'm finally able to CUT, HACK, BANG, BEAT, WELD, FORM, SHAPE and ruin a beetle to my own liking, there really was nothing to lose, considering what I started with.
