hey guys, i'm 19 and only been into acvw's for a little while. my dad used to own a couple and thats what got me started. anyway, i bought my first a little over a year a go, if you couldn't already guess it's a 1965 standard bug. so far I've straightened every panel on it, replaced the battery tray as there was a massive rust hole there removed the honda :rolleyes: front seats to go with the more traditional low back vw style. Its basicly all in primer now and almost ready for paint. being my first bug I didn't quite think I was ready to cut the top off so I'm going a little more cal-look/custom. It's going to be two tone, '95 porsche riviara (sp?) blue and white. right now I've got a 1641cc with dual kad's and a wonderfully loud stinger, although it hasn't run ina while 'cause we have to redo the wiring. it's got an adjustable beam in front, with chromies at all four corners. tires rub a little so when i finally get a job i'm gonna put some 145s on the front. as of right now there is no interior in it cause the p.o. f'ed it all up by changing the color with some spray paint. anyway the inside will probably stay pretty bare except for my new seats with their new powder coated frames :P , they look great! sorry about the no picture thing, when I can steal the digital camera away from somebody I'll update!
