Hi guys,
I am very new to Volksrodding, but have previously rebuilt a Kombi, so do know a little bit about VW's (namely how much everything costs).
I just purchased a bug after being inspired by this site and am going the guards off, slammed on the ground, chop top rod on her in the very near future. Unfortunately front end extensions look like a no go here thanks to our very boring laws.
I am hoping that with some site research and everyones help I might be able to get a good result even with the rather poor part availability here in Oz.
I would love to here from any other Australians (not to discount the Yanks as it is always good to have like-minded friends everywhere) that might be looking to get a bit of a brains trust together and anyone in NSW that might want to do a bit of work together. I am way behind the eight ball mechanically, but am always willing to learn, lend elbow grease and I have some pretty good paint and trimming contacts for those that, like me, need professional help (in more ways than one).
Look forward to talking to you all over the coming months and will get up some pics of the bug as she moves along.
