Re: My concept for the general Vee
Hi MIke, I called George and told him all about your car as best humanly possible since he has no internet. He was very enthused and decided your car needs one of his hand made VW cog shifer knobs. Hows that sound?

Man, it sounds very cool!!
I am digging the possibilities. One issue, I have a Scat T handle shifter with lock out. It can't be much higher profile or it would interfere with my dash when shifting into 1st and 3rd.

Re: My concept for the general Vee
Iv airbrushed before and the skill you have is what iv always dreamed of becoming. (but never will )
IM blown away on not only the airbrushing but how you can get the faces to look alive. theres so many ways to screw up a face to make it look 2d,cartoony,blank, or unbalanced.
you nailed the look and from what i seen of your other work it comes very natural to you. Natural is more important than skill IMO but you have both.

Re: My concept for the general Vee
Thanks for the kind words guys. I have been inspired by many here. I think the biggest thing I had going into the project was almost 2 years of planning and dreaming. I watched some great rides come to life here in the 5 years I have been hanging out.
Here are some shots from this eve. I reassembled the the handles. and mirrors. I then started to paint the rear brake lights. I sand blasted the brackets and housings. I scotch brited the lens. Then I masked it off in rows of 1/4 in tape and cut out the "black out" lines. I used plastic spray primer under the drab paint. I like the way it looks. It helps to break up the maltese a bit and not so obvious now.

Re: My concept for the general Vee
Gary,
It is a bench mix. I just kept throwing shit in off of the mixer until I got it. I mixed enough for future mishaps and miscellaneous parts.

Re: My concept for the general Vee
The car, paint and personal touches are looking great...you do some amazing work. Oh and by the way, received the DVD on the taillights...really cool, helps a bunch.
Secondly, if any of you have not checked out Mike's website...you are really missing something, guy has crazy skills.
Looking forward to seeing the Zombie Killer all put together.
