Thanks Steve. Thank you for the work you put into this website that gives guys like me, with a VW fettish, something to do and a place to share it with.

I am going to get it photographed professionally with a bunch of hot chicks and some zombies in the near future. I will be sure to get them to you for your viewing pleasure. :)

I will post the Zombie Chicks pic as soon as I take them.

I got the rag top assembled over the weekend and also built a speaker cabinet for the back. I will post a few pics later.

Today I got the tags on it. I put about 30 miles on it this afternoon. The front end is a bit stiff yet, but is loosening up. Ran great. Thumbs up all over the place. HEHEHE.

The Zombies were scattering.

A few pics with the top in and the sound system going in. I added a few bits of storage on the back of the seats and such. I also add a fire extinguisher to the roll cage. Little stuff that has been fun to mess with.

I am going to raise the front end an inch or two to get better travel in the suspension.

Build me one for 3K!!!! Nicely done! It just goes to show you don't have to have a ton of money to make a nice unique ride.

Brilliantly done. I love the part about your wife borrowing the rig to show (off) to her friends. I believe the message she's conveying is "my hubby is immensly talented." I completely agree.

I am performing the tie rod end flip at the end of the week. It should improve the handling quite a bit. I have been running it with out shocks all week. It is pretty smooth. I got the toe in set better today. That grooved hightway stuff was throwing me all over. Hopefully getting it dialed in by the weekend show.

It should level out the tie rods quite a bit. I do not have spindles. I am running an adjusted beam. By flipping the outer tie rod ends, it is my understanding that it will keep the wheels straighter when the suspension is under compression.

I have them already Buddy. I have the car about mid point on the beam adjustment. I will lower it a little bit more once I get the new ends on it. Then set the toe again and all that fun stuff. :)

Thanks! See you then Soily. There is a show on Memorial Day in Mead. Apparently, they are going to shut the town down and have a car show. I may be going up with a few other VW.

Let me know if you are interested. Should be fun. Then I will be going to one day of the Goodguys in a couple weeks.
