Re: De Konjel
To increase the usable angle of the rod end I use on the higher a-arm I need what they call "High Misalignment Bushings". The rod end is Metric M20 but the the closest I found is .750 Inch, thats little over 19mm.
No one seems to make them in Metric ???

Re: De Konjel
I know it's still early, but out of curiousity what are you doing with the body. I know you made a tube frame to accomodate the new tunnel but the beetle measurements were pretty much the same... Are you getting super wide fenders?
Now that the stupid question is out of the way, I think your work is amazing and that suspension is looking killer

Yep........... thats the idea! Wanna keep the outside of the body as much as "original" as possible but with a BAJA front and open engine bay. But it has to be a bug.
I'm looking for an "BAJA, DAKAR, EXPEDITION" style.....
For the inside the plan is a classic race look.

I have thought about that but I think the fenders would be to wide. That would not look nice. It could be possibel with shorter driveshafts and different A-arms.
It will be like the BAJA Class 5 mixed with different styles.................

Very impressive work! Project is 1st class, tell me what are your plans when finished? Are you going to dive on road or race only?

Re: De Konjel
All the cool Bajas have really wide tracks! One of the few vehicles I like with tires poking out!
De Konjel is looking awesome!

Yup! My dad has 2 of 'em, one a 5 foot, the other a 9. I've worked with a lot of different brands, but for a small shop south bend tops them all.
