I should have posted this yesterday when I joined!
Well, I found this site after someone here came up to me at a show in Myrtle beach and asked me about my car, a type 35 Bugatti replica on a '66 VW chassis. Still needs some brake work, and I've got a bit of red tape to cut through to get a vehicle registration, but she's still one of the best examples of this particular kit to be found.
Lots of power too, from a sort of mongrel '66-'67-68-'69-'70-'71-'72 vintage 1600cc short block, home-made exhaust, competition clutch, and generally anything that would make a purist cringe!
I'm something of a native to the Myrtle Beach area, though I spend a bit of time over in England too. I basically don't stay put for long.
As for the username... LOOOOONNNNGGG story, though that's become something of a general nickname (my car even has an old-style Biritsh plate on the front that says VLPCULA). It's a constellation located near (and sharing one or two stars with) Cygnus, first identified by an astronomer called Hevelius. Let's leave it at that...
