I'm hoping soon to get the money back I loaned out to a friend for his bills. If I do can I reserve number 84 for the rabbit tenetivly.

hehe...
Not quite yet. I do have about 30 of the knobs molded and will be casting the medallions starting tonight. I also got the supply of jam nuts in the mail yesterday so that part is ready.
just need to polish the plastic parts, cast and aged the medallions, drill and tap the knobs and glue teh medallions in place.
Still hoping to ship the first of them by the end of this month. Thanks for you patience everyone.

You're right. The ragged old and loose knob on my SC is the original, and it now shifts in a Ford Truck pattern! Will the new VolksRod knob restore my VW shift pattern? Or, will I have to yank the Ford truck gear box?

Re: "Genuine" Volksrod Shift Knobs
I have to dig out my hood ornament to see what number I have. But once I do I'd like to get the same shift knob if its available. I'll see what number I am this evening.

Do you think the average stormtrooper knows how to install a toilet main? All they know is killing and white uniforms.

Looks like you had #18...assuming you are Zach C. <G> . I penciled you in for that one since it was still available.
Confirm the number when you can.

Re: "Genuine" Volksrod Shift Knobs
Good progress this weekend. I have more than enough knobs molded to cover all of the orders so far.
and I got most of the medallions cast for the orders so far...
A couple of them didn't cast properly and the mold did not survive so I will need to re-cut a few of the molds. Plan to do that tomorrow.
Still need to finish trimming the medallions and aged them.
Getting closer. Still want to get the first ones out by the end of the month.

Re: "Genuine" Volksrod Shift Knobs
John, is there anything you can not do?
Can you post a list of which numbers are still available?

I can't carry a tune in bucket. Won't ever find me up on a karaoke stage....especially since I don't drink.
Number still available are:
10-12,17,20,21,23-28,31-39,41-53,55-61,65,66,68,70-72,74-83,85-98
Plenty still available.
But even with the 30 sold so far, I will be able to make a donation of $750 to Steve to keep this place going.
Thank you to everyone that has ordered so far.
