Hi. I just joined the site today after browsing around for a good VW forum to be part of. So far this looks like a great site with some cool people.

My name is Justin Peters. I live in Port Huron MI. By trade im a Pipefitter/welder,( so if anyone local needs some welding done......) My current projects are a 80 mustang that im building, full cage, backhalved- kinda pro-streeted [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/Idunno.gif[/img] And last summer I picked up a VW sandrail and a glass buggy body that im building a tube chassis for. These are my first Vw's of any sort but after hitting the Bug in last summer and looking around the internet there might be a few more in my future. After a few current projects are done anyways.

Well anyways, looking forward to learning a lot on this forum and meeting some great people. if theres anyone local that needs a hand with their car, im still a little VW illiterate, but willing to give a hand.

Woohoo- Well, last weekend I got my first bug. I traded my sandrail for a 62. The car is really solid, has a running 1600 dp all new brakes and lines, lots of spare parts and a shitload of character. Looks like it has the original pans in it still--- amazingly solid for a michigan car. Well ill try and get some pics up soon. Gotta go buy some fresh sawzall blades!
