Hey all, name's John. I am stationed at Fort Campbell on the Tennessee and Kentucky border.
Currently finishing up a build on a 71 bug right now. Mainly stock but there are a few mods here and there.
My daily rider is my 2004 Firefighter Road King, but I am trying to get the bug finished up before I have to go overseas again. After the bugs finished, it will be the every-other daily driver.
Was a mechanic for a few years before the Army, and I used to do a lot of work souping up Chevys. But after my old Regal caught fire, I decided I should look towards a new model line to toy with. Looking at trying to build a chopper after my next tour in Iraq, and hopefully have enough to get a few more VWs to play with too.
Have a wife (Liz), a 5yr old daughter, and a 1yr old son, and another on the way. *hence the need for the vw budget*
