Default What is the dif between a raked top vs chop top

I seen some talk about rake tops and have no idea how they are different then chop tops. Can someone explain any one have pictures?

They are both chops. A raked chop is chopped more in teh front than the rear. Some raked tops are cut only in the front, but they look pretty strange IMHO. I like a late model bug chop that's about 6 in front and 3-4 in the rear.

sometimes the rear windows not modified, its just cut on the sides and front. then just pushed down, making the front window smaller. keeps you from having to worry bout cutting the curved glass for the back.

This one was chopped about 3 inches at the A piller. It was already chopped when I bought it about 20 years ago. Pic I found on the samba.

Its not that much more work to keep the rear window intact if you. Do it the way Chris Clark showed.

These are older pics, now has an 8" extender, different wheels & tires, swan mirrors, decals are gone flames are coming soon. Will update the album soon.
