Default Hello from Texas

Joined up to look around & get some ideas for my project buggy. Had a buddy from another forum that said there was a good buggy build over here to check out.
I've got a Lithia Springs buggy. It belonged to my grandpa when I was about 5 & sat in a barn for the better part of 3 decades when we moved from CA to TX in the early 80's. To make a long story short, I spent the better part of my high school years trying to talk him out of it & he never would sell or give it to me. I finally gave up after a few years of bugging him about it. When I was in college though he asked if I was still interest in it & we made a deal. I swapped a pistol for it which I got back when he passed away. He used to race it on the beach in CA & we would go watch him. So it has a lot of sentimental value to me as well as the coolness factor.

Here's a pic of it circa 1980-ish with my Grandpa & brother in it. He was patching it up & getting ready to paint it here.

Here it is:

Here it is the day I got it to my house in DFW. Friends that trailered it & helped unload it.

Default Re: Hello from Texas

Before & After from cleaning out the junk that piled up in it while living in storage. Floor pans are rusted out and will be pulling the body off on Saturday so I can cut the floor pans out & get to work on tunnel & the rest of it.
