What ever happened to the VW COE?
Did it ever get finished? I would love to see what it became!

Re: What ever happened to the VW COE?
There are a couple of them at least. I've seen some finished ones come across my feeds (I call all un-solicited offerings "feeds")... one of them looks to be the one that was done and documented here... The one done here probably got lost on the Photobucket fiasco a couple of years ago. Was a Neat build. Some crazy skills getting it done too.

Re: What ever happened to the VW COE?
Today is the first time I've tried using the Search function in a long time, and it's completely broken for now.

Re: What ever happened to the VW COE?
I know that's not the one he's talking about, as the one that was posted in progress here, was more of a hard nosed parrot look to it. Higher and longer before the nose dropped. A lot of stellar Mold and fiberglass work was going into it. Looked awesome. But like a lot of projects, just disappeared...
the hood was shaped more like this though :

The COE ‘Bugover looks pretty cool with lots of legroom.

Here's the truck originally asked about, I think.

I thought that was an awesome looking work as well. Dude has some talent. Would love to see if it made it any further or on to a new project owner or what... Great build for sure.

Re: What ever happened to the VW COE?
As far as I know, builder Mark Pinkstaff still has this just outside of Ocala, Florida. He goes by SkidMark on most forums.

For some reason. I go by skid mark in most locker rooms.

Hi Guys, thanks for the interest, built a house, sold the old house, built a shop and sold the old shop and soon to be back on the COE Beetle shop truck build. just been busy with life but time and place to play coming up......
Strange using a forum like this again after so long, seems like I don't know what buttons to push.

Build threads are so much better than facebook or tweeter!
