Okay guys here’s what I’ve been working on.
Today was eventful. I had one carb catch on fire, so after cleaning and vacuuming up the dust and cleaning out the carbs I can’t get it to start.
Then again there was no damage done to anything, and I just installed these carbs.
I’m unfamiliar with the procedure to get a baseline with these Kadron carbs.

The dizzy was timed set at 30 degrees advance at 3.5k rpm so that shouldn’t be be problem and I can occasionally get it to start but it back fires heavily and starts then it dies immediately.
Any advice would be appreciated as I’m out of my element and we all gotta start somewhere.
