I am officially breaking the shop in tomorrow. So far, all work done in the shop was for the shop. Tomorrow, I sit on my stool and work on the 1600T longblock. Woot!!!

Had a delay to getting into the shop. The 98 minivan went to wrecking yard heaven this morning. Had to walk home... Oh well, now I need to get this car done!

I'm working in my little shop tonight. Working on the 1600 cc engine for White Trashed. I think this is going to work well! Tonight I rebuilt a set of stock carbs and pulled the pistons off the short block to inspect and clean.

I built new injector hold downs tonight that bolt onto the air cleaner bases. They won't turn like the original units from CB Performance. It was nice to work in a warm, dry space tonight in a down pour. At 10:30 I didn't have to worry about noise bothering anyone either! Woot!!!

Picked up a drill press and dual sander yesterday for $50! I have most everything I need now for basic work! Well... except for more space!

Looking good. My shop is 120 sq.ft. plus an enclosed apron for parking two to three bikes. It's cozy and I get a lot done.
A new neighbor stopped in and asked why I didn't have a big screen TV in my, uh, "Man Cave."

Haha, I have a basement if I need a man cave. I am looking at mounting some cabinets and shelves on the 8.5' wall.

I believe that guys who have "Man Caves" with bars, lounge chairs and big screen TVs, don't have enough projects, parts and tools. Unless of course, carburetors, a VW engine, or say a WIP motorcycle gas tank, is sitting on the bar.

What do you do when your "new to you" drill press has a 1/4" chuck and you need a 1/2" chuck? Why, you replace it... Unless it uses a unique chuck. Then, you modify a Harbor Freight unit to fit! So now my free press has cost me 10 bucks.

Oh my gosh V8

I am with you there...these guys with bars disguised as a garage...neon beer lights...pool table...wood stoves..to me that is not a garage any more...that is a bar..I have neighbors on both sides of me with there "garages"...funny thing is the only thing they do in them is drink beer and smoke cigs..I dont even think they work on cars in them anymore...I have a smelly old fridge to keep my soda cold and the rest is organized chaos...car parts...old chunks of rusted steel...tool boxes..etc etc etc etc....

I guess mine is a 'man cave' I have a computer in there that will barely surf the web and a lawn chair for when I need to think and don't want to sit on my stool.

I did think about a funnel and hose set up to put through the wall for killing weeds...
