So I've been working a little bit. Thought I'd show ya whats have accomplished:

Working on the mold for the bubble top and mounting frame next......things are moving along. Have a date the end of July to have the bubble blown! WoHoo!!

Still have plenty of body work to do but it is pretty much "roughed" in (rough being the key word here! )

Used the headlight buckets I originally had in the Rubber Chicken for head rests ('37 Ford Pickup) as the front fender extensions. Just need to run a bead down the middle of them to match the fender top. Oh and make my license plate box. That's why I haven't addressed the stock hole to pull the shofter rod out of yet. The plate will be flush mount and dang near invisible when in the up position then flip down when I start the car. I'll need the plate 'cuz I'm gonna drive it!

Same trick for the rear liscense plate will be done

Am I the luckiest guy in the world or what? What a great stable to choose from (but it took a lot of hard work and time to get them all! ALL LOT!!)

You know there are some things when you look at them that are just "right". The lines flow and they have the look that they are meant to be that way. Your's has that look. This will be one for the magazines. Cant wait to see it complete.

Yup, it's going to be Magazine City. 'Can't wait to see the bubble top, and I really wish I'd invested in `welding wire futures' before you got started.

Okay, I've been lurking on here. Busted. Great progress on the car Mark - and great support from the VW Nation, too! Sometimes it's hard for me to bite my tongue and let you find your own way, but that's the only way it works. You're getting there.
Meanwhile, I'm stoked about joining you on The Bubble Trip!
Keep up the good work, everyone. "Reinventing the wheel", indeed!

I'm not going to lie, when you started I thought "this is going to be the ugliest piece of crap."

I was very wrong. It looks killer already, and I can't wait to see the bubble put on! Keep it up!

I think I know a guy in your neck of the woods, that might be able to donate some parts off his slow-ass Morris Minor...

Hope you two can make it down the 199 for our car show in the Harbor August 15th... a few years ago at that show is when I started bugging (pun intended) Mark to start up the Oregon Bug-In again...and maybe, just maybe, I've made some progress on that (or Mark is lying to me, just so I will quit tormenting him...)

shouldn't the logo be a cartoon sketch of your car soaring across space landing on a game board of trouble planet with dice rolling around in the bubble .?
