I wonder why you are asking that question. I have not found any info with that. I will check some for you though.

From the looks of it you always need an adaptor to bolt it up to. But I will keep looking.

Well, there is a flathead adapterto chevy trans.

But will this work against a corvair is the question, I'm sure I can make it work, but I am avoiding running two adapters together if you know what I mean

I'm pretty sure the Chevy V8 bellhousing pattern is different from a Corvair.

I think the best bet would be to talk with kennedy adapter. They may make what you need since they do the corvair adaptor to chevy engine. I would not see why they would not do the flathead to corvair conversion.

The best idea I came up with so far is, to make a flat plate steel adapter for a chevy bellhousing to corvair (Say it's 1/4 inch thick) Then machine off a 1/4 inch off of the adapter bellhousing then bolt the three together. The custom mainshaft of the kelmark mimics the chevyRWD shaft, and the adapter for the flathead accepts Chevy RWD shaft so in theory it should all work together, I think?

Flathead Ford to Corvair ?
KEP should be able to do that.

Have you got a Flathead motor that isn't cracked ?
For less money you can run a Chevy V8.

I was/will be setup to run a Chevy V8, but I REALLY WANT that midengine flathead, I don't have the motor yet, but I got a line up on one that runs and is ready to go. We are working out a deal for bodywork in exchange
