I picked up some cans of krylon ultra flat black, some flat white, masking tape, and some more sandpaper today. Im going to get up bright and early tomarrow to finsish sanding and all that so i can spray on the black and white. I was thinking of doing some graphics like this(the red ones on the sides not the fames and in white) or the usuall two tone but im still not sure. I'l tape it up tomarrow to see how it looks. I'll post some pics when im done

i have the whole car in the flat black and white now exept the interior but im doing that today. In a few weeks my uncles coming over to help me put in my headliner and all the rest of my interior and my windows. so soon this thing will be done and all i'll need is a motor. I've been calling around and i found some places that said they can get me a used one for $500 with a core. so i need to start saving and working my butt off somehow(still 15 and cant get a job). So im off to finish...

well, I was test fitting my carpet yesterday, and I realized that i have to cut holes for the e brake and the shifter. So that makes me mad but i have to do it good so it doesnt look like crap. And also i've been thinking of having my headliner installed by a pro because i dont wanna make it look like crap. So my money is ganna be gone for a while... man the idiot that built the motor before i had it did a really crappy jobs and used the stock bearings when he rebuilt it. There was a peice of dirt or something on the bearing and gouged up the crank so have to either buy a new on or get it re bround. The good news is that when i do get my licence my parents are going to buy me a rumming bug to get around in so thats cool. I also have brakes. I had no fluid so i got some and fillled it back up and they work! Now i just need to bleed them and it'll be good

changerd my mind about the paint. The white stripes are ganna go and im going to be spraying it through a gun as soon as i can find a place to get the blitz black from. I called every paint and tractor supply store in the phone book and got chewed out by a few paint stores when i told them about it. So as soon as i can find a place that sells it im ganna do it. For now its sanding and priming

Dash got worked on today. I marked all my wires and tooke em off the speedo and disconected the speedometer cable. Took it out and then made a template for the hole in my dash. Used a rotary tool witha little cut off wheel to make the basic shape then used some rough grit sanpaper wheel thing in the rotary it doesnt lok too bad but i still need to do somefinishing work and put it in.

just been practicing welding and can not make up my mind about chopping it. Ive been looking at the how to articles at nicks site and dont know if i'll be able to tackle a job like that yet because the guy that was going to help me has to finish he house then his car then maybe mine and its ganna take a while. so im still inbetween on what to do. wish i diddnt take out all my door rubber and stuff already incase i decide not to chop it that was alot of money wastedbut i have nothing but time and if anyone has any tips on chopping let me know. everything will be appreciated!

well i was supposed to wake up today and start on my chop and have a good day and all....but today sucked balls.I had all the things marked out and measured ready to cut. I made my supports and got them fitted. I turned the welder on to tack it in and had my hood down. Click....click...the dam thing isnt working so i accidenlty asked my dad whats was wrong while he was in the middle of putting a clutch in my brothers truck and he got all mad cuz i interupted him. It wasnt a good day. Well i hope that i can fix it and get started sooooon!!!!

well i alomst have enough money for a motor but then i spotted an early sixties (62-63ish i tihnk) ford fairlane down the street with a 390 that runs. its been sitting there since i can remeber and it had a for sale sign on it a few months ago but now it doesnt and its sitting there still. so....I am trying to get a hold of the old lady that lives there and am going to offer her a hundred dollars for it so hopefully i can get it. I have some big plans for it already. Flat black/green combo with lake pipes. So i hope but the neighbors said she hasnt been there for a few weeks so i gatat keep an eye out. hot damn i got another car. Thats 2 now and i still dont even have my permit yet :peek: (DECEMBER FINALLY I WILL ) I have alot of plans for it and i can not wait. Im pretty sure its a 62 comet. It has the roll down rear window too. Kinda cool. As far as the vw goes no welder still so its on hold  . I cant really think of anything else i can do to it without the welder i have a cool idea for the decklid...uh...man i really need to save for a motor too. Homecoming dance is soon and that is ganna make me broke. Freakin 100 zoot suit, dinner, both our tickets, man but it should be cool.

well... No news on the vw. Heres some merc updates though. My brother and me drove it to school a few days ago and got a huge reaction. Everyone was talking about it good or bad... I got it starting with a key now(needs a new silenoid tho so occasionaly have to re set it) Have beensearching for some doors and the back 1/4 panel so if anyone knows of any pm me. I cleaned up the interior and it is brand new looking agian. No rips cracks of teras anywhere. Also got a rat fink figure on my dash and the rat fink sticker on the window. As far as my plans go i wanna slam it and paint it flat black. Put eiter some moon disks or seom blue maybe green wheels on it. And some white walls. Also shave the passenger door handles and fill in most of the trim holes and keep some trim. Its ganna be really cool when its done(exept the near 7 mpg it gets )
