Greetings everyone!! I am Bob and I am working on my 1971 Karmann Ghia Coupe. Brought it home in 2006, drove it for awhile, had some fun with it , now I tore it all apart. My member ID is Rustyrocker and it comes from my cars current condition. The rocker panels and heater channel are totally rusted. I will be working up to that project over the winter most likely. Right now, its the rear deck lid. I have cut the rusted sections out and welded in a patch made from an old door skin I was given. This is my first attempt at this kind of project and will be learning as I go forward. It will be a tight budget re-build but I want to have fun with it. So far, My most fun has been doing it myself and knocking little things off my list. It feels good. I will get some pictures up soon, Aloha for now.
