2nd Bug 1st VolksRod

New and my first post, I live in east Texas and and have not seen any VolksRods in this area so I thought I might get something started. I am a correctional Sergeant and have had several show/hobby vehicles in my many years. I am 49 but stay young at heart and have not found anything I can't do. My wife and I bought a 68 Bug and after going through it I figured it would be cheaper and more fun to VR it than try to restore it to factory. My wife wants truck and I want a chopped sedan so time will tell where this project takes us.

I just wanted to get a thread going and add to it later but I did want to add that I got my 10 inch beam extender from Doug today. Tomorrow is my last day off so I guess I'll be busy cutting and mating it up. I am lucky enough to have 4 day work weeks and 4 day weekends so next weekend I'll get plenty done.
