Hey all, glad to finally be a part of this badass community.
First of all, little about me. 28, live in Portland, OR, originally from Kenai, AK. Been in the automotive field practically my whole life, been through a slough of vehicles, some driven into the ground and some modded right off the ground. Passions are anything with wheels, and Metal Music. I happen to be in an original metal band as well, and thats a whole other story.
The reason I'm here. Bought myself my first Bug, 75 1600 F.I. and cant stop tinkering. Plenty of cancer to deal with, doing a mild Capella(ish) chop, but overall its going to be a daily, so not to much crazy with drive train/suspension. Lowering it slighly, but keeping driveability, staying injected, just mild engine upgrades, not even sure yet where thats going to go. Right now, all about getting through the cancer (rust) treatment, floors, body work. Plenty of pics to come. thanks all!
