Default 1st Volkswagen

Hello Fellow Rodders,

I am new to the VW and to the Rat Rod scene. I have done quite a few newer cars between lowering them to LS1 BMW swap. I started a side business called Swapped Fabrications and it started from a buddy contacting me about doing a LS1 with T56 swap in his BMW and that's when I started my side business. So enough background about me I picked up a 1967 Ragtop Bug.

75% Chop finished
Stripped interior
No Glass
1500cc engine
4 speed
Chevy 5 Lug swap
2 1/2" drop spindles
Unique wheels (Letting the guy keep the wheels after I move it to my house)
No tops on the door but the chop has been cut and welded
The engine starts and runs but there is a collar that attaches shifter to trans that is missing. Found it brand new for $15 so it runs and drives.

Here is where my "business" part comes in. I am thinking of doing a tube frame and doing a V8 swap. The thing that I have to figure out is if Cadillac FWD trans will bolt up to a SBC or if I just need a new bell housing to make it work. I just think a Big Block will twist too much. "Faith in my welds is not there I guess." lol

Well nice to meet you guys.
I'm Dustin btw. Thanks again Steve for getting me activated.

The pics are in my album I will get on a computer and put them in heterosexual.
