I finished sizing up the material. Just got too damn hot to finish it yesterday. This morning wasn't much better. Was all ready to finish them IN the bay, now if someone wouldve told me they come out soooooo easy the day before~

But they are done. Not perfect but who cares, my butt will be in it for awhile. And no more ripped up vinyl or straw scratching me.
So here they are, excuse my foot but my arm wasn't long enough, camera needs 4+' to focus.
The pass side I assume is a replacement since it had not backing. And it didn't come out as good as the driver's side.

you can see how I tied them on.

no sewing~ all hammered in grommets and snaps. I have a sewing machine, but I break more needles than it's worth~ wonder stitch iron in, wonderful stuff!

so here's the pr~

he says we can paint the outside to match,,, uuuhhhh, plaid? no~ men~
will find a solid color for the back seat and bed later. ut now I'm comfy.

Super update~
He took the cooler off and oil was only on one side. Tried to force air thru. no go. So after drilling 4 holes in different areas, and take out oil pump, a slug of dirt dober finally fly out. Damnbugs~ they build and can ruin an engine in an hour! That's why, engines should get bagged when you are done!
So tomorrow he will bring home pipe plugs to plug the extra holes.( hmm, next owner is gonna wonder on that one~ ) After he will fire it up again and see what the pressure is and then maybe reinstall it.
we'll see~

Super hasn't moved, yet. After finding out the info on the oils, he's been changing that around this week. Had a guy yesterday with an old camaro looking for the red can stp, he just lost his cam due to the wrong oil!
He changed oil in the dragon thursday, it ran much cooler, last night he said he pushed it doing 80, about 4200rpm (if I remember right) and it never went over 180*, outside air was 90's and very humid. But still have an oil leak, new fuel pump coming~
Bay gets changed this weekend. DON"t want to lose that engine!

Last week he opened the engine up for the super, all rods are spun and squished out the sides, so he has new bearings. This weekend it'll get redone again.

Yesterday the guy who was sorta interested in the super asked again, if it was ready, he said 'I got cash when ever youre ready" welll, plans have changed~ hubby said he's not selling it now. It's gonna get an engine, somehow , then he's gonna drive it in the ground! Seems this super just doesn't want to leave, so the ideas are swirling around it, and all this talk lately of cutting up supers only adds fuel .

So we'll see what happens now.

All for now~

lil update and a change of pace.
Super is running, but what a pain! several engines later, it's down to needing a generator, yeah a generator. I thought they all had alts by now~ oh well, he's driving dragon on & off so sometime this weekend, if it gets cooler, he'll fix it.
ok, the change~
remember this score?

ok, the engine has been tested, runs fine along with the old 1200 that has been sitting in the corner for a year~

The bike~ a CB750 four. $45. He has spent some time, got it running, the other day he switched out the starter with an old scrap 900 out back (some of you may remember it too)
So now that works.

He has switched the tank too, and last night he started stripping it down to basics. He has been surfing bobber pics and has some ideas, I just need to make some lines for him to play with.

Here it is~

The guy we got this from is hard to get ahold of. He also has a 500 that hubby wants as a daily driver. Whenever he gets it, I'll post pics.

Yeah back in this multiple build thread, I said I'm not fond of bikes, but now with gas at $4, I'll deal with it.
So as this transforms, I'll post pics~

he has started the cuttin~ even though it was with a torch

he found a kit, http://www.tcbroschoppers.com/id27.html
not sure if he's going that way or just make it himself~
I'll post as he does more

ok, so it WAS a uni, now it's extended 6"s in the rear.

excuse the clutter in the back ground, he was suppose to clean the cave out BEFORE starting this,,,,,,,, hard to get nice shots with all that~

Was going to use the 900 tank, but after he narrowed the frame, he went to flatten the edges under the tank, it cracked, too rusty and it was surface rust, so looks like I have another sample tank to play on later~

Has some interesting ideas for the tach and other switches he'll need, but will have to wait for pics

hey, you guys tease, so can I

well not really much of an update, but the 74 super engine eater is gone. That last engine has done good and a local to his work has been bugging him for months to buy it after he got it to stay running. So dragon is back to being a daily. Next on the selling block is the 71 super and the bradley gt shell. I'll get some pics up when we drag them out front, not sure what prices he'll put on them, but if anyone here is interested, pm me~ Just trying to reduce some of the excess around here, more important things to take care of. Unfortunatley this stuff will be pick up only, we have no rd worthy or legal trailer to haul for any great distance. Also have a rolls royce kit on another super that may go up as well. Anyone interested in an ugly blue 74 (Ithink) 411 with no engine, that's available. or it may become a hunting buggy later.
there are some good pics of the gt on the trailer after it got a bath (in the gallery), no roof with it, and unfortunately, kid cracked the windsheild frame. We were going to redo that anyways. But it's an as is deal, the super is a flat glass, needs a bit of work to it, aprons on both ends are messed up, no interior and no engine and if I remember right , will need some front left strut parts.

He may also be selling his 30/30 gun today too with a scope. says that might go for bike parts (sprocket & chain) though I am nagging him to add it to super $ so he can get his teeth fixed! That can't wait any longer. The less we have to borrow, the better.
But anyways~ I'm still striping away. Need to get off my fanny and add some more to the bay and get my address on it to dig up some work.
That's all for now~

The $ from the super is starting to be spent, a local dentist will get it and then the rest will be from taxes next yr .
So with stitches on the bad 2 teeth and another open hole healing, he's been tinkering more with bike, building with whatever he has around the garage, that's the whole idea right?

update pics~
couple of days last month~
built the mid section and mounted the shocks, can't get just 1 to work so he swiped these off the 900,

And after finding that sleek green bike built by arlen ness,,, (finding it was designed after a 30's bugatti something, and then finding it's actuall name is just 'smoothness', he went looking out back. Brought in the rear fenders we switched off of dragon during it's birth (big tail lights just don't work ) he cut them up and here it is at 530 today.

May just design in a pr of 60's tail lights too. And I threw in the idea of a cut in half tank to use as side skirts,,,, maybe, not sure yet~

No race tomorrow, but more damp weather predicted, I'll get a pic if he gets it all together. Was going to roll it outside for an uncluttered shot, but not good with all those un protected welds~

later~

updates here may be a few less in the future. Hubby has been transfered from his current store but will be working in another store that is 1.5 hrs away, each way.

I normally don't cuss, but this economy!

since last update, he's back in town, but almost all the super $ got wasted in gas for almost 6weeks. Then hunting season, wasn't as good this time as previuos seasons, but he tried. And of course, weather is always an issue with an open cave.

Dragon had busted bearing, when I say there's a noise, there's a noise,

but only by him driving it for a few days did he decide to check into the noise and replace axles and bearings.
Sooner or later , I'll get him to do adjustments on the bay's engine, valves and find the exhaust leak,,, someday~

For Now he has some argon, and has been tinkering on a few good days~ I think I posted a few pics in the bike thread out front~

bug fenders get a bug tail light~

appears a lil tweaked, but that's just the way I'm leaning over the engine and tranny clutter trying to get a centered pic~ it'll get cleaned up when next stage starts.

all for now~

he started flaring the front, still needs to be blended a bit more on the top.

After slicing his hand with a tiny piece on an edge somewhere, then he skirted it~

and by the end of the day, he cut it off and had several more cuts on his hands~working with fresh cut metal is so much fun.

"I couldn't get the damn wheel out'' argh~

busy weekend again.
sunday

monday, after switching the alt in dragon, due to a shim wallering out and scaring the shaft and then a tab on the pulley breaking off , the alt was toast. Then for no reason, the metal fuel line snaps. He said cuz it's technically MY car, he called it a bitch,,, typical woman, expensive, wanting attn and causes pain (cut his hand while fussing with all the stuff to take off and put back on)...... I said, I named it dragon so it would be a lil more manly,,, and since things don't get fixed until they ACTUALLY break,,,,,,,,,,,,, yeah this is what I got~

then he went back to tinkering on his scrap iron~

soon he'll unbolt it all and fully weld it all up.
til next weekend~

a lil update. Will post a primered set up later.
The bars he added this morning to the side covers really ties the body together, lines on the tank, lines on the cyls and lines on the covers, set of 3, looks good!

I'm already visualizing some scrolls on this thing

complete set

he's now cleaning up the frame and engine.
After that, it'll just be tinkered with til he gets the $ to get a lengthened chain, and the whitewalls he wants~
Got more important things to take care of first, like the bill for supplies used this far.

painted monday. A bit darker than it shows in pic. Custom mix, had some dark charcoal met, he added a smidge of white then another smidge of the turquiose.

Next up, detailing the engine and cleaning up the wiring, rebuilding the forks, then~~~~ maybe reassemble.
He Priced out the chain & sprocket at a local shop, cheaper than online. Then last, new tires. Kinda changed the mind on whitewalls, It might be too much white then, will do a photoshop after it's back together and decide then.
That's all for now, detailing is boring in pics~

Needing another tank. Monday we'll be going in search of another 900 or maybe a goldwing if the price is right. There's a couple of shops around here and supposedly a bikers junk yard by Vidalia (yeah, the place that grows those famous sweet onions ).

Maybe going to some shops I can get some extra flyers out and make some contacts for some work too.
On a good note, I did get the first stripes on it, the air tube he made for the carbs. It's under the tank area, but will be visible from the sides.

Wow, 100th post
He says I should put this under his name with a new avatar. I told him nah, cuz he's such a lurker~
